Welcome to Wallan Primary School! My name is Tanya Kirkright and I am incredibly honoured to be the Principal at WPS. Each day my enthusiasm grows as I observe many strengths that WPS has to offer our learners and our community.
Wallan has a rich history, and it is essential to value the structures built by the previous school Principal Ann Stevens in collaboration with the school team, the parent community and most importantly, students. As Principal, I will collaborate with you to ensure that we continue the successes of Wallan PS into the future.
Each day, students bring to school a rich and diverse backpack that contains their prior experiences, knowledge, culture, interests, passions, the list goes on. I enjoy learning about each individual and empowering them to be proud of their unique identities. We are building a school environment that encourages all members to be supported and challenged to further develop their academic, social and emotional skills in a safe, positive, fun and nurturing environment.
At Wallan Primary School we are adding to a student's tool belt of skills and strategies so that they can not only handle any challenges that they face in life but also thrive.
